FAQ

WHAT IS MICROBLADING?

Microblading is a form of semi-permanent make up. Rather than the use of a traditional tattoo gun, microblading requires a small tool with teeny, tiny needles. These needles are used to manually draw delicate hair-like strokes into the skin while simultaneously depositing pigment. The result? Realistic-looking brow hairs that don’t wash off!

IS MICROBLADING THE SAME AS A TATTOO?

Almost! Where a tattoo is permanent and will last forever, microblading is a form of semi-permanent tattooing because the hair-like strokes aren’t as deeply ingrained into the skin (compared to the depth of a tattoo gun). The pigment that is used in microblading is also different from what you’d get with a tattoo, because your body eventually ends up metabolizing it and it fades away if you choose not to upkeep your microblading. Traditional tattoo ink particles are less concentrated in microblading ink, which gives your brows a softer, more realistic look.

DOES IT HURT?

Comfort level will vary from person to person but typically you shouldn’t feel anything more than mild discomfort! At Brow Justice we use two grades of numbing! One before we begin the service that is a topical cream, then a faster acting gel is applied before we start our second pass to ensure you’re as comfortable as possible during your service!

HOW MUCH DOES MICROBLADING COST?

$550.00+ tax

Our Microblading service is done in two sessions; the initial appointment and a retouch 6 weeks later, both are included in the cost.

HOW LONG DOES MICROBLADING LAST?

At Brow Justice we guarantee our brows for 12 months. Depending on aftercare and skin type, clients can get up to 2+ years out of their service before needing a touch up!

HOW LONG IS THE MICROBLADING APPOINTMENT?

I tell my clients to plan to be here for 2 hours.  For your initial appointment we want to make sure we have lots of time for a consult, brow mapping and any extra time we may need for breaks! Typically, you’re in and out within an hour and a half!

WHAT IS THE PREP FOR MICROBLADING?

 - I suggest coming bare faced, moisturizer is fine.

- Refrain from taking any Advil/ ibuprofen or aspirin before appointment (Tylenol and acetaminophen is fine!)

- Have hair washed the morning of, or night before, as you won’t be able to get your face wet after the appointment.

- If skin (eyebrow area) has a sunburn or inflammation I will not be able to perform service.

- Be sure to eat before you come!
